National Child Weight Measurement Resources
NHS Wirral commissioned HM Partnerships to develop supporting materials and resources for children and parents/carers of children identified as overweight by the National Child Weight Measurement Programme.
HM Partnerships have completed agreed projects for our PCT to cost, timescale and to a very high standard

We conducted a contextual audit around policy and a literature review to establish best practice and examples of resource development. Then began the development of the 3 resources for print, including workbooks for reception age and year six children, and a family/carer lifestyle magazine.
HM Partnerships teamed up with experts at Liverpool John Moores University and their GOALS programme in order to develop the content for the resources. With the design and creative development being undertaken by a sub-contracted design agency.
NHS Wirral planned to distribute these resources to children in Year Reception and Year 6, identified as overweight by the programme, the lifestyle magazine would be sent home to form a useful and informative tool for parent/carer engagement.
The resources can be adapted for use in other PCT areas with simple change of logos and contact details, please contact HM Partnerships at info@hmpartnerships.co.uk to discuss this.
